Nature’s Popsicle 3

Frozen fruities are delicious, but if you’re hankering for something creamy and chocolatey, this is for you —

And it couldn’t be simpler!  Just peel the bananas, lay on a plate and freeze for several hours. You can cut them in half if you choose before or after freezing, and even stick a popsicle stick in the end for a treat on a stick.

Then, put a handful of chocolate chips in a plastic bag, microwave in 30 second bursts until melted (don’t get it too hot or it will melt the plastic bag). Knead until mixed . . .

Then snip one corner of the bag and squeeze out the chocolate onto your frozen banana . . .

Enjoy!  And while you’re enjoying, pat yourself on the back because you will be helping to maintain normal blood pressure  as well as helping prevent heart disease and promoting bone health with potassium (467 mg per banana). Bananas also contain fiber and help with, you know, as well as other things (see healthy bananas) . . . and chocolate is just the icing on the cake! (or should I say banana?) Sprinkle on chopped nuts if you choose to be truly decadent.
