Bath Jello

Yes, I was inspired by the Jellie, as they call it at Lush.  I imagine they use a soap base and scent it and then use something to gel — so I played around with proportions and this is what I came up with:

Step 1 — Dissolve 2 packets of gelatin in 1/2 cup hot water.  Stir well and make sure the water is really hot.

Step 2 — Add 1/2 cup liquid soap and stir thoroughly.  My measuring cup here is too small and in a blurry picture which I am not going to post, I poured it all into a larger container and added another 1/2 cup of liquid soap.  So — 1/2 cup hot water and gelatin and 1 cup liquid soap.

Step 3 — Add food coloring and scents (I used cherry, berry and blueberry), pour into a flat pan so you can scoop it out like jello and chill several hours.  It smells magnificent! And feels cool and slippery . . . You rub it on your skin because it’s soap, and it melts away because it’s like jello.  It’s fun in an oozy sort of way.
