Brown Sugar Lip Scrub

Your body isn’t the only thing that could benefit from a sugar scrub.

 

Lips need gentle exfoliation, no more than once a week.

First,  add 1/2 tablespoon of oil to a small measure.  Then add 1/2 tablespoon of a butter, such as mango or cocoa or even coconut.  At room temperature these “butters” are actually oils in solid form.  Heat the oil and butter until they melt together.

Add 1 capsule of vitamin E.  You can poke the capsule in one end and then squeeze the oil out (or bite it if you can’t find anything to poke it with   . . . ).  Then add a few drops of flavoring if you want to.  You can use food flavorings or an essential oil.

Add a few drops of honey . . .

Stir the liquid ingredients into 2 tablespoons of brown sugar.  I like brown sugar for a lip scrub because it seems to me that the sugar crystals are finer and smoother than in white sugar.

Mix well, and then spoon into a container.  Refrigerate.  Use by gently scrubbing over lips.  Allow the oils to penetrate lips.  You can wipe off the scrub, or lick it off.  It’s all edible . . .
