Abundance is the theme of the season — the harvest is in, the cornucopia is full and we are thankful for what we have, or we are worried that we don’t have abundance at this time of year when instinctually we feel we should.
The Architecture of All Abundance by Lenedra J. Carroll (New World Library, 2001) addresses abundance amid stories of her childhood and those of her family.
Lenedra has been many things including glass artist, writer, singer, manager to singer daughter Jewel, and philanthropist in helping to bring fresh water to people around the world. The guiding force in her life and success has been her connection to spirit.
This book won the Napra Nautilus Award, is engagingly lyrically written, and talks about seven foundations to prosperity. Along the way you glimpse how trusting, loving and listening to yourself pave the way for increasing abundance.
What I appreciate most about this book is the way Lenedra gives back and acts with integrity in her life. While holding love for herself, she also makes sure to help others with her abundance. And if abundance is the theme of the season, then giving is the lesson of the season.
